TDSi has launched VUgarde, a new fully-featured IP video solution, together with the latest releases of the EXgarde access management system and a new addition to the DIGIgarde finger print reader range.

The launch of VUgarde gives installers and security professionals a digital video solution that delivers powerful yet straightforward surveillance. The cost-effective VUgarde range offers a suite of products to suit all requirements, from an entry level system capable of controlling up to 16 cameras, to VUgarde PRO, capable of managing hundreds of cameras from multiple video servers.

VUgarde has been developed with ease of installation and operation to the fore, with familiar navigation, intuitive tools and simple Wizards available for a wide range of tasks. Available with a number of options including Video Wall, NVR and a web interface, VUgarde delivers an outstanding combination of performance and quality.

TDSi’s integrated access management software solution, EXgarde Version 3.0.4 is now fully compatible with Microsoft Windows 7 Professional and Ultimate software suites, as well as Microsoft Vista Business and Ultimate. Users with these operating systems can now take full advantage of the management, integration and control functionality of EXgarde.

EXgarde V 3.0.4 can also send selected events via SMS or to an e-mail account, in addition to a wireless PDA. This ensures that security operators are kept informed of critical events even when away from the EXgarde PRO workstation, allowing appropriate responses and actions to be taken immediately. This module, EXnotify, is available as an option with EXgarde PRO.

The company’s latest biometric product launch, DIGIgarde Smart, allows cardholders’ finger print data to be stored directly on a MIFARE® smart card, rather than on the reader itself, thereby allowing the user to retain possession of their biometric data rather than having it held by a third party. As data is not held by the reader, operation is fast (without compromising accuracy or safety) and there are no limits to the number of users. DIGIgarde Smart also effectively increases security by requiring two forms of identification to be presented – both card and finger.
